Scruff of the Neck presents

Orphan Boy

After a seven year hiatus, Orphan Boy are back and will return to play their favourite city this summer. Having just announced sell out comeback shows in their hometown, Grimsby’s finest are looking to rekindle their halycon days of the late 00s and early 10s, when the band were Manchester-based and built an avid following. Renowned for their incendiary live performances, Orphan Boy rose to cult status with their self-styled council pop and the support of Manchester indie label Concrete Recordings. With three studio albums released between 2008-2015, several appearances at Glastonbury festival and support from BBC6Music, XFm and the NME amongst others, Orphan Boy were a band forever on the cusp of bigger things. Taking in a wide range of influences, from Gang of Four to LCD Soundsystem via Pulp and the Libertines, Orphan Boy promise an exhilarating set of anthems that offer fans the perfect outlet for the last two years of lockdown frustration.
